Courtney has probably been the busiest of all. She had her first year of high school, last year, and really enjoyed. She had taken choir and spanish through out the year, and loved them both. She actually caught on to spanish quite quickly and easily. She has always enjoyed singing, so her joining the choir was no big surprise to us, but what was is that she is willing to take chances to better herself. The students are required to either preform a solo or small group ensemble for competition, its part of their grade, while most everyone chose a small group, Courtney was one of a few 9th graders that chose to sing a solo, she missed going to regionals only by two points, so we expect that she will make it next year. We are so proud of her, she has done exceptionally well over all, adjusting to life as a high schooler. This summer she took a trip to Houston, TX with the OAFC group from church (Ongoing Ambassdors for Christ), and went witnessing in there local areas. She had lots of fun. Currently she is on another trip to the BWCA, with a group from church. They are up in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area for six days, they backpack, canoe and camp out. She went last year and lots of fun and had decided to go again this year. She also goes to Triniteens every Wednesday evening, this is the teenage bible study group. She is very involved in her church group and that has become a very important part of herself. She has now surpassed her mom in height by at least two inches (and looks a lot like her, but don't tell Courtney that). She has matured into a beautiful, bright young lady. She continues to enjoy babysitting, baking, playing guitar, hanging out with friends, and now talking on the phone.
