Fall colors are in full array here and its just gorgeous outside. This weekend we went to an apple orchard and its was pretty scenery. The orchard is set next to a lake. I took the kids through the corn maze and walked through the pumpkin patch, its too soon for us to get a pumpkin (they always seem to rot on us). The maze took about an hour for us to work through but it was fun and we even got a free apple for solving the puzzle. After that the kids went on a wagon ride, no hay involved. The little ones like it but the older kids thought that it was too short and boring. They also had pony rides there but we didn't do that, it was over an hour wait, of course the little ones were a little upset. On our way home Marc fell asleep. Once home we had supper and we just finished up cleaning when they all wanted to go to the park, so off to the park we went. When we got home we had a campfire and roasted marshmallows and made s'mores. It was fun and fulfilling day. All the kids including the two teenage girls that I had with were asleep by 9pm. Mom had peace and quiet.
