School is Back in Session!!!! YEAH!!!!
Jordan is liking kindergarten. Is not really used to getting up 5:30 am and on some days she gets home and takes a nap and will still go to bed at 7:30 pm. She also doesn't like the fact that she has to do homework now that she is forced to do it, this creates some problems at both school and home. I'm hoping that with a routine that she will adjust. I found out recently that she is quite the storyteller, the first week of school she came home and told me that her teacher called her a brat, which I knew was not true. After some discussion, this was in regard to the fact that she didn't want to wait in line and thought that she could do what she want when she wanted to. I'm glad that I'm not that teacher! But her teacher says that she is quite enjoyable in class and quiet.
Gavin has the same teacher that he had last year, that made the transition really easy and the fact that the teacher knows Gavin helps a lot. Gavin had the opportunity to join band this year but he didn't want to miss out on the classroom time since band runs during the day. Mr. Bergman, his teacher, is giving recorder lessons after school and that is what Gavin has chosen to do. He is growing like a weed, he shot up during the summer months he will make a good basketball player next year when he can play on the school team.

Courtney started 9th grade this year at Saint Francis High School and loves it. She is currently taking Spanish and choir, along with the normal criteria for ninth grade. She had a busy summer, she took a trip to Midwest City, OK for OAFC Summer Training and a trip to Boundary Waters Canoe Area. She had also been taking guitar lessons every week with her friend Sammy, so they play for OAFC on occasions. Last Friday night she went to her first high school football game and dance. She met up with some friends and had lots of fun, even though we lost the game (badly).

Shelly,
Your kids are really growing up fast! Wow, thinking of Coutney being in 9th grade makes me think of all the fun we would have over the summer when we were together. Welcome to the world of BLOG - it is a great way to share what is going on in your life.
